Appointments: We book appointments with your convenience in mind, recognizing that keeping everyone’s schedule is important. However, due to the nature of our mobile services there may be unforeseen circumstances with pets, traffic, weather, technical issues, etc. We won’t jeopardize the safety of dogs in our care, so you will be notified if we are running behind. A typical groom should take anywhere from 1 1/2- 3 hours depending on your dog's coat condition and temperament.
** Please note that we require a person of 18 years or older to be at home while grooming takes place on your property.
** Prior to your appointment please ensure that the area is easily accessible for parking, i.e. snow removal, etc.
Cancellations: A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for the cancellation of any pre-booked appointments.
No Show-Policy: In the event that we arrive at your home or office for a scheduled appointment and find you unavailable we will wait a maximum of 10 minutes. Future bookings may not be accepted.
Senior Dogs or Dogs with Health Issues: It is important that we know of any current or previous health conditions in order to judge how the grooming should proceed. Any grooming on elderly or frail dogs can be risky and may expose hidden medical conditions or aggravate existing ones. These dogs have a greater chance of injury, so they may only be groomed for cleanliness and comfort.
Puppies First Groom: It is very important to start puppies off on the right paw! We encourage owners to ease puppies into grooming. We can show you tricks and techniques to practice at home between grooms. The first groom is to familiarize your pup with the bath and the sights, sounds and touch they will experience in a grooming environment. This will help build their confidence and, most importantly, they will enjoy going to the groomer.
Interruption of Services: We must be made aware of any history of aggressive behaviour. Dogs will not be groomed if they are not safe to handle. An attempt to use a muzzle or neck collar or other calming methods will be done in a safe and humane manner. If this is not successful, and the session becomes unsafe, the groom will be stopped.
*If the location is unsafe due to weather conditions, steep driveways and heavy traffic, your appointment will be rescheduled and other arrangements made.
Flea and Tick infestation: If your dog has fleas please re-book your scheduled appointment for a time when flea treatment is complete. If we find fleas during the groom you will be contacted immediately.
Matted Dog(s): We cannot provide de-matting services over 15 minutes as it may delay the groomer for the next appointment and, more importantly, it can be very stressful and painful for your dog. If shaving a badly matted coat is necessary we will not proceed without your permission: this is quicker and safer and will prevent any scratches and nicks that could occur during a lengthy grooming process.
